The Homestead Everglades Posse is a non-profit organization that was established in 1951. Their purpose is to promote better sportsmanship and horsemanship all while having fun on horseback. All riders in the Posse are amateurs, riding and training their own horse. The Posse consists of cowgirl and cowboy riders of all ages. Posse has performed a synchronized drill pattern on horseback in the Homestead Rodeo every year since 1952, as well as various playdays, parades and events throughout the year.

Why I chose Homestead Everglades Posse as my sponsor?

Being part of Homestead Everglades Posse has provided me with an experience that beautifully intertwines discipline, camaraderie, and creativity, all while honoring a Rodeo tradition. The rigorous practice schedules instill a strong sense of discipline, teaching us the importance of commitment and precision. As we work closely together, we forge deep bonds with our teammates, creating a supportive community that feels like family. The physical demands of drill not only keep us and our horses fit but also enhance our coordination and teamwork skills. Each performance brings a profound sense of accomplishment, as we execute routines that reflect our hard work and dedication, all while proudly upholding the traditions that connect us to our history and inspire future generations.

Not only do we showcase our teams ability to work together during a 12 minute routine at every rodeo, we also participate in many local events through out Homestead & Miami Date County.   Volunteering and supporting neighborhood initiatives fosters a sense of belonging and purpose. It allows us to contribute to the well-being of our community while celebrating its diversity and strengths.

Additionally, we hold Posse Playdays where we provide access to all the members of Posse to compete in several rodeo events in a smaller venue.  Some of these rodeo events include Barrel Races, Lead-Line Barrels (for the younger riders), Pee Wee Barrels, Texas Barrels, Hairpin, Flag Race, Apple Bucket Race, Buddy Pickup, and the ever so popular Daddy Barrels.  All in the sake of fun family competition.

I welcome you to look at my calendar of events and join me in celebrating our community and our tradition in one of our upcoming events!!!
